Swords of Thought on the BBC

Swords of Thought are a noise-pop 3-piece from Woking.  Definitely one of the best bands I’ve seen locally in the 4 years I’ve been back in Guildford.

Takes me back to the time of my youth when bands like Pooh Sticks and Senseless Things wrote great pop songs, then played them as fast as possible with noisy guitars… though both these bands came more from an indie / punk direction.  SoT owe more to the melodic end of experimental indie rock – very early Boo Radleys, Sonic Youth.  Anyway, you have around 4 weeks to check out three live tracks and an interview here –

SoT on BBC Introducing – The South

6.00 mins – Track One

20.00 mins – Track Two

34.00 mins – Interview

44.50 mins – Track Three
